Stay Creative: Listen

What is more precious than gold? Some would say wisdom, while others love, but in the world of graphic design it is creativity. Like gold, creativity can make us do crazy things. It turns top designers into hacks and elevates novices to authority. It is the stress inducer and joy giver. Granted, it is not the be all, end all, quint essential to designing, but it sure helps.
So, to help relieve some of the stress, Stay Creative will be put out each month. These are things that help me and I hope will help you.
You have to master not only the art of listening to your head, you most also master listening to your heart, and listening to your gut.

Almost all new ideas have a certain aspect of foolishness when they are first produced.
- Alfred North Whitehead
Sometimes we need to take a step back and breathe before we are able take the next step.
- Jake Miller
By the way, I want to hear some of your ideas and at the end of the year I will put all the best ones together and have a vote. It will be an opportunity to share, get your name out there, and build a little SEO.
Unquestioningly,
JM

The rut leads to the same places. Creative disorder and an ability to accept failure as a possible end will allow you to try the new ideas.

Defiantly! The ability to accept failure and move on from it is huge. It allows us to grow, not take things so personal, and explore new avenues. Thanks for sharing! I might just have to add this to the next “Stay Creative” post.
